With the last game of the season in site, Owen White superstar right stop and captain of the mighty Neverwinter Wanderers had this to say: "Its been a tough season with many up's and downs, the teams done well and pulled together to work as one unit under some excellent leadership" having secured third place in the championship (sorry to disappoint Black sunshine) the team spirit is high.
New signings galore in the last few weeks Billy McCrory the big money bright new forward is really looking forward to the coming season and performing well for a top flight team.
Archer Emmers is set to be goal scorer of the year delivering a real top performance whilst Dixon Cooper has been a top class defender for the wanderers proving he was worth the high fee back at the start of the season.
Hamblin Manager of the side had this to say: "Aye it's been a good season for us but nobody is taking anything for granted next year all of the clubs have made decent signings and things will be tough for all teams next season, I can't see anyone romping away with it, the Wanderers will strive for excellence but who can say whats going to happen".

The press has started to roll again as Neverwinter News gets a new sponser............
All looks rosey for the mighty oaks at the moment in their space at the head of the table, but how quickly it could all change, with Finsbury Cross 3 points behind and proving their mettle today by taking the memorial shield!!! The boys are flying high but keeping their feet firmly grounded.
Long Term captain and superstar Owen White had this to say, "tough games to come over the next few weeks with Cooper out and Santiago returning next week, were gonna miss Sukhi from midfield too, but we are the mighty oaks and we will prevail"!!
Hamblin had this to say - the side has really shown what they can do this season, there are some key games to come but everythings to play for, common you Oak's!!!

Neverwinter Wanderers look as strong as ever for the season ahead;
Superstar captain Owen White had this to say: Aye the moneys pouring in and record signing Senzo Shimazu is joining the club in week 2 of the season as soon as released from contract from Oceans, he will join the club in time to play Bulldogs.
When asked why all the big name strikers? manager Hamblin had this to say: "Senzo is a good fit for our front line, I like to mix things up and have a strong side for all tactics, McCrory is a star and will always be important to the club, but Meng will reach heights of greatness in his own right, Duran and Casas bring the experience and stability to the flanks with new signing Gragovic from Russia fitting in and giving more depth. Also never underestimate our defense and mids, Cooper and Santiago have proved themselves time and again as an Iron wall to get through, Montavez skill and Krenhi's all round ability will be key, with Owen leading from the back and Lebedev proving himself to be one of the best lefts in the league this will be a season to watch!"
COMMON YOU MIGHTY OAKS

Neverwinter News - Limited Edition Sorry for this late Edition Neverwinter fans, but we had to sack the printing team, all the money has gone on upgrading the club facilities. However Grant Deadcheap has decided to stay on and work for free as a top reporter for the news and Brigham White has doubled up to do the editing. So without further ado, rock and roll sports fans; What a season this is shaping up to be on the back of three losses for the mighty oaks (something of a club record) we apsolutely walloped the in form Inferno to keep on the tail of the fire puffs and luckily Oceans only scraped a draw in their game against the mighty Raven so we regained our rightful 4th place on the table. Transfer news; still reeling from Shimazu's late decision to join Finsbury, Darren Kerley has stepped up to the plate and found some form....then gets injured for four weeks...........mumble mumble. Torsta and Warren are settling in well and really proving their worth with newcomer Turner yet to debut for the club. Ketz the terminator Ronhiste has joined our back line and at 22 we predict a long and prosperous career for the talented young right stop. Superstar captain for the Oak's Owen White had this to say: The boys are all pulling together in a tough and competitive season, the sensible money has to be on Finsbury or Psycho for the season this year, but do not write off the Mighty Oaks just yet. We have been plauged by injuries and this continues to be a problem, but with a Manager like Hamblin in charge with his vast array of tactical knowledge we can but thrive!!! Microsoft spokesman Michael Monies had this to say - we expect trophies this season, you don't plough money into a club like we have to Neverwinter to get one minor trophy in a season, buck up your ideas Hamblin!!! Neverwinter News
At the midpoint of the season all seems good in camp neverwinter or NeverWinter Land as it seems to have become known, spending a large part of the season on top of the table and pulling away with a small lead, but let's not take anything for granted oak fans, there is still another half of the season to go and anything can happen.
Player interview segment Interviews by Grant Golightly
Owen White Superstar captain of the oaks had this to say: Teams doing well no complaints from me, apart of course from that pillock over at firepuffs Jamie Wolf who alleges spending time with me in seedy clubs, my legal department is on the case. On rumors that he is considering a transfer Owen had this to say: why would I leave the top club in professional fastball??? madness and untrue, Neverwinter is the only club for me!
Billy McCrory Top superstar scorer for the Oaks had this to say: Forms been good, goals are sailing in, what more could I want? On rumors that Bill isn't happy about being benched for certain games: Hey, were a multi tactical side with a wide array of different abilitied players, Hamblin knows what he is doing and Kerley is having a cracker of a season.
Managers round up The lads have done me proud and they have all performed well, they now need to stay focused for the second half of the season, with the sponsors spending big on facilities and staff they have no excuse, come on you oak's! Stand out personal performances for me this season have to come from Garrido and of course Cooper at the back, new additions Wescott and Rosario have strengthened and former Academy promote Hastings yet to debut for the club, but we expect big things from this highly talented youngster. Lucas Bolt was a top signing and has remained steadfast and reliable in the middle, upfront McCrory and Kerley have shone, however it's important to recognise the performances from Quevedo and Tronseco, bringing tactical superiority and stability to the frontline.
Well that's about it from this years edition of Neverwinter News, lol hopefully update a bit sooner next time.
